Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

Met upon arrival at the airport in Nairobi or picked up from your Nairobi city hotel and drive north to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en route to Sarova Lion Hill for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is known as a Ramsar bird site specifically founded for the protection of the black and white rhino. It is also home to more than 450 species of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles, and many others. Safari to Lake Nakuru can offer to spot of four of The Big Five - Leopard, Lion, Rhino, and Buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive further southwest through the floor of the great rift valley to Masai Mara with a stopover at the hometown of the Masai herdsmen, Narok. Proceed to Masai Mara and arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the vast Mara plains in search of predators such the lions with dark manes, cheetahs, leopards,s and many herbivores, especially during the yearly migration of wildebeest between July – September. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara

A full day of your safari in the Masai Mara, dedicated to early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon game drives or full-day game viewing depending on one's choice. (Optional visit to Masai village or balloon safaris can be organized locally). All meals and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park

Early morning game drive. Breakfast and thereafter drive to the Isebania border where you will complete your paperwork and exchange vehicles from Kenya to Tanzania, meet your Tanzanian driver guides, and proceed to Serengeti, game en route to Serengeti Tortilis Camp for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

The whole day will be spent on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south while during the longer rainy season from April to June, they return back up north. This circle of life is determined by the rainfalls and the locations of the herds might vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. A visit to the Serengeti Visitor Centre is also possible. Here you can learn more about the history of the park and the research that is being done by the Frankfurter Zoological Society. You will spend another night at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will continue your safari in the Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley, you might be lucky to see predators hunt as animals gather in the waters during the dry season. After lunch at a picnic spot, you will slowly drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you have reached the crater you will have a superb view of the caldera. This approximate 20 km wide crater is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to over 20,000 animals. You will stay at the Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp on the crater rim from where you will be able to enjoy an incredible sunset. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Rise and shine! After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep path into the crater just. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest, unbroken, and unfolded caldera in the world and it has an unbelievable diversity of wildlife. In addition to zebras and wildebeests, you might also spot the rare black rhino and other members of the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. The crater is also home to other animals such as hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and more than 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the caldera in the early afternoon and drive back to Arusha. End of Service.

How big are your groups on a Safari?

Our 4-wheel drive safari vehicles offer comfortable places to five people in the rear and one person in front with the driver. So we can take up to 6 people on a safari. If your group has more people we will schedule additional vehicles.

Can I pay with Credit Card?

Balance payment can be done in either cash USD or credit card (Visa – MasterCard – American Express). With credit card payments, there is a 5 % surcharge. The best is still to bring cash in USD. You’ll get the best exchange rates for 50 and 100 USD notes. Also make sure not to bring USD notes older than 1990, as these are not accepted anymore in Tanzania.

Can we get our visa on arrival?

Yes, for both Tanzania and Kenya, you can get a visa on arrival at the airport or at the Namanga border.

How do I proceed with my reservation and Payment?

Once we agreed on a certain itinerary and the price, you will be asked to make a down payment to our bank account. Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of this deposit, and we’ll send you a confirmation e-mail. We shall then also proceed to make the necessary reservations. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash upon arrival in Tanzania. If you would prefer not to travel with Cash money, you can also pay the balance in our bank account.
