This beautiful park has been often been called a little gem and rightly so. It is only a half an hour by tarmac road from Arusha town, the safari center of northern circuit. With Mountains, valleys, and small plains clothed in green and dominated by Mount Meru, which at 4,566 M {14,980 ft.} is the third highest free standing mountain in Africa.
You leave you’re accommodation after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The banana, vegetable and coffee fields pass by as your guide heads for Arusha National Park, the least visited reserve on the northern circuit, but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing. Home to northern circuit best sighting of black and white colobus monkeys, Arusha national park supports large numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many antelope species, while the momela Lakes offers great sighting of both lesser and greater flamingoes. On clear days the park offers excellent views of both Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. You might wish to explore the bush on a walking safari and walk along the big game or simply indulge yourself on a canoe safari on the Momela lakes.
You will spend a full day in the park, maximizing our opportunities to spot the excellent range of animal and birdlife it has to offer. You will have time to enjoy your picnic, included as part of your day tour. At 17.00, we set off from the park to reach Arusha by 18:00 hours and you will be dropped at your accommodation or place of residence.
