Overview
The trip will take you to two countries in East Africa with different cultures, landscapes, and climates. At the same time, Rwanda is hillier, while on the other side, Tanzania is a more open savannah country. Start with Rwanda and see the mountain gorilla before visiting three pristine wildlife areas in Tanzania with a chance to witness the Great Migration. While the sight of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras thundering across the plains is spectacular, the Mara River crossing is one of the most breathtaking natural events in wildlife sightings.

Itinerary
On arrival in Kigali will be met and transferred to the Laico Umubano Kigali, where you will enjoy lunch. Following lunch, continue to Musanze (formerly Ruhengeri), situated near the park headquarters of the Volcanoes National Park.

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas. Here you will meet your tracker and the day will be spent tracking the Mountain Gorilla, and when you find them, you will spend a maximum of one hour enjoying these once in a lifetime experience with these awesome creatures.

Today is your day for packing, having breakfast, take a visit to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. These Magnificent twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, and their swamp Rugezi, are excellent photogenic, serene, and scenic places for Bird watching activity. Later transfer to Kigali airport for your outbound flight. On your way, and if the weather favors you will get some stopovers to admire the scenery and the beautiful terraced hills.
After the tour, you will proceed to the airport for your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to Planet Lodge.

After breakfast, you drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a day of game viewing. In this small but beautiful park with a dense forest, you can spot lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, hippos, and flamingos, and if you are lucky, you may spot the rare tree-climbing lions. Apart from the animals, the contrasting landscape is stunning with the biggest diversity of habitats than the Serengeti National Park. For birders, this is your day. Over 425 species of birds have been recorded here, with the highest number of raptors. In the late afternoon, you drive to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight.

You leave the Farm of Dreams after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely and depart this morning for game viewing in the central part of the Serengeti. This part is famous for the great sighting of lions, cheetahs, and leopards that are usually seen hanging on acacia tree branches. Game viewing in the central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like serval, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, jackals, hyenas, hyrax, and birds.

After breakfast, go on a game drive in the central part of Serengeti for more sightings of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and at around noon, drive to the retina hippo pool for lunch and witness hundreds of hippos in this pool while enjoying your mouthwatering lunch. After proceeding to the north through Lobo, where we have incredible sightings of giraffes, elephants, buffalo, impalas, and the incredible landscape, the migration trail starts showing up and arrives at the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Rise up early for a morning game drive along the Mara River. It is truly an amazing experience to see all those hoofed mammals in search of water and greener pastures, followed by iconic predators. A journey is full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and, if you are lucky, the endangered black rhino. After the afternoon game drive, you head back to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

Another day of morning and afternoon game drives in the North Serengeti along the Mara River. Dust exploding, lions stalking a moveable feast, gigantic crocodiles, and fast-flowing wild rivers await the herds as they head north. The river crossing of thousands of wildebeest and zebra is absolutely one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa. Return to the Camp in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will depart the camp with your picnic lunch and proceed with your game drive along with the Lobo, mbuzi mawe, and the central Serengeti for more game viewing. Today you will be looking for lions, cheetah leopards, elephants, and giraffes, stop for lunch at the picnic site, and then continue to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge on the rim of the crater.

Leave the camp at around 6:00 AM and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Grass steppes, acacia forests, alkaline lakes, rivers, streams, and swamps are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African savannah. The crater is home to Africa’s big five lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo. The alkaline Lake offers excellent sightings of flamingoes from June to August, and on the shows, you might see jackals and hyenas lazily lying on the edge of the lake. Other residents of the Ngorongoro are hippos, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, and birds, with the grey crowned cranes, ostrich, and kori bustard catching the eyes of both birds and non-birders. After extensive game viewing and a picnic in the crater, you will leave the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon and drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport and connect your flight back home
