The game in this beautiful national park is plentiful, and the magnificent bird watching will make a devoted birder (and even the most reluctant) appreciate them. The park is home to up to 2,500 elephants, which can be seen looking for underground water in the dry riverbeds during the dry season. You will also see migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and other incredible sightings like lion, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, baboon, and waterbuck. The park’s scenery is amazing, a landscape dotted with huge baobab trees and the meandering life-giving Tarangire River. It offers excellent game viewing during the dry season (June to October) when the migratory wildebeest and zebra are around.
Lunch: We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.

Serengeti National Park is renowned for its vast plains and the great migration, which is home to numerous predators, including over 3000 lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and other animals. As we explore the park, we’ll be on the lookout for these amazing creatures and soak in the breathtaking landscape of the open plains dotted with kopjes

Morning: We’ll set out to explore the vast expanse of the Serengeti, where the wildlife sightings are typically at their peak in the early mornings and late afternoons, when the temperature cools. The multitude and diversity of wildlife species in this huge protected area are unrivalled anywhere on the planet. Serengeti, in fact, is the Maasai word that means “endless plain.” We’ll return to camp in between game-viewing drives for lunch.
Lunch: At the main dining tent.
Afternoon: After time to relax, we’ll head out on our afternoon game-viewing drive. Our guides will again help us identify the more elusive animal species, such as bat-eared fox and golden jackal, as well as rare birds like the purple grenadier and the red-cheeked cordon bleu. See if you can spot the odd-looking Secretary bird or the elegant grey crowned crane.
Dinner: At the main dining tent.

Morning: This morning’s game-viewing drive will focus on observing animal behaviour and interactions. Throughout our ride, our driver-guides will provide expert insight on the various species we’ll encounter.
Lunch: At the camp.
Afternoon: Enjoy a couple of hours of free time before heading out for our final game-viewing excursion in the Serengeti. Isolated rock groups, called kopjes, provide shelter to the solitary leopard, pairs of cheetahs, and prides of lion. We’ll learn from our driver-guides about the clues that tell you if one has recently hunted or is about to hunt. Their quarry is the lone gazelle or vulnerable calf spotted amongst the hundreds of thousands of hoofed herbivores: antelope, zebra, and the ever-present wildebeest.
Dinner: At the camp.
Evening: You are free to retire to your tent to pack or rest up before tomorrow’s day of sightings.

After an early breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro Crater Floor. Your first sight of Ngorongoro Crater is likely not one you’ll easily forget. As seen from the crater rim, this natural bowl, both vast and intimate, is one of Africa’s most beautiful natural features, stretching 19 green kilometres (12 miles) from one side to the other.
Down in the crater itself, you’ll explore an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by high crater walls. Here, lions and hyenas hunt wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle within sight of elephants and black rhinos.
Your day spent here will reveal a surprising variety of habitats, from the Lereal Forest and salty Lake Magadi to the plains that rise and fall gently all across the valley floor.
Afternoon: (Optional) we’ll visit the Oldupai gorge, and learn about the origin of humankind, and some time at the museum.
Dinner: At the Lodge.
Evening: You are free to remain in the main dining area or around the lodge to discuss the day’s wildlife.
Destination: Ngorongoro Crater

Accommodations: Octagon lodge or Similar
Breakfast: At the lodge.
Morning: Your next safari stop is Lake Manyara, a fantastic and relatively compact park. There is so much to look forward to here. To start with, there’s the dramatic scenery of cliffs, forest and lake all in a relatively small area. You’re also in for a treat when it comes to wildlife. Lake Manyara is famous for its elephants that roam the forests, its gregarious troops of olive baboons, and its lions which, unusually, climb trees. It’s a unique combination that offers something a little different to the other parks in Tanzania’s north. This marks the end of your safari in Tanzania. We hope that you have enjoyed your trip and that you’re already planning your next safari.
Lunch: Picnic in the park
Afternoon: Drive back to Arusha, where your guide will drop you at the airport for your own-ward connection.
