12 Days Kenya & Tanzania Combo Safari
This safari combines the best premium parks located in both Kenya and Tanzania. In Kenya you visit the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli National Park which has views of Mt Kilimanjaro with a night rest at Nairobi. You will then cross to Tanzania by road via the Namanga boarder with a night rest at Arusha before proceeding with game drives at Tarangire National Park, the famous Serengeti Park and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. All meals while on safari are included except at Nairobi. One of our best trips!
Itinerary
Arrival time at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will be met and picked up by a Seven Wonders Safaris guide, and you will be transferred to your city hotel for rest and leisure. Depending on the arrival time, you may have a city tour at an extra cost. You may choose to go for dinner at several restaurants at an extra cost.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver guide and after a full safari briefing, depart Nairobi and head southwards to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, relax. Have an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
An exploratory drive around the 1,792 sq. km game park with its low hills and savannah-type rolling grasslands, gallery forest on the Mara River and its tributaries. Get introduced to the herbivores: elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the variety of antelopes, the Masai giraffe and the Burchell zebra. The carnivores are the black-maned lion, cheetah and leopard. Also to be seen are the largest bird, the Maasai ostrich, the Secretary bird, the crested crane and the saddle-bill stork. Crocodiles and hippos share the river. Return to your camp by sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Optional Early Morning balloon safari ride (US$480.00 per person ) across the Maasai Mara plain. Breakfast at the camp then enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. The Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti Ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here; The Mara is noted for its abundance of lions – particularly the superb black maned males. See the great Migration where over 1.5 million wildebeest and other antelopes crossing the mighty Mara River. Experience the battle between survival and hunger. You are also likely to see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as – if you’re lucky leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You’re sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film/tapes and enjoy yourselves!

Wakened by marching elephants and the sounds of birds. Have breakfast at your camp. Check out and drive through the cool Rift Valley environment towards Nakuru. Drive through the town and arrive at your hotel in time for lunch. Lunch at City Max Hotel then leave at 3.30 pm and have an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park.
Lake Nakuru is a small park with over 50% of its area covered by the lake. Located in the middle of the Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru has a wide variety of animals which include the Rothschild Giraffe, Lions, White and Black rhinos, as well as the Leopard. All these can be spotted depending on your luck. The park is also considered by birdwatchers as an ornithological paradise! A myriad of both Greater and lesser flamingos have made this lake their home.

Hot breakfast at the hotel. At 8.30 am, drive to Amboseli National Park, where you will arrive in time for lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi. After lunch, proceed to Amboseli, arriving late in the afternoon for an en route game drive to your camp. During your short evening game drive, you will be searching for the big herds of the African elephants, the cheetahs, lions, the gazelles and the elusive eland. Weather permitting, you will be able to have a magnificent view of Kilimanjaro.

Full day exploration of the park. After breakfast, depart to morning game drive. Transferred to your lodge for lunch at leisure. Embark on an afternoon game drive. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner. You will be able to see the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro, the Big Five and more than 400 bird species.

Have an early morning game drive in Amboseli, returning to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast at the lodge, depart forthe Tanzania border with picnic lunch boxes and enter Tanzania through Namanga. After you have done with immigration, you will exchange vehicles and proceed to Arusha, arriving around 4:00 pm for overnight rest.

After breakfast, set off on safari with your private car and driver to Tarangire National Park (approx. 120 km). Named for the river that nourishes the wildlife of a vast ecosystem, Tarangire is home to the elephant, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, water buck, lion, giraffe, onyx and an unsurpassed diversity of birds. From June to November, masses of wildlife congregate around the river, but the park is a stronghold for big game year-round. Take your first game drive before retiring to your beautifully designed lodge, hidden among ancient baobab trees and giant rock kopjes within the park.

The legendary Serengeti Plain is your destination today, a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. You will enjoy a picnic lunch as you drive to Serengeti. The evening is free to rest.

Today, we enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti Ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoiled by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. Depending on wildlife movement at different times, we may serve picnic lunch at a picnic site or take hot lunch from our lodge.

This morning, drive and descend into the crater for an in-depth exploration of this distinctive ecosystem. Enjoy abundant wildlife viewing set against the impressive backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater, the heart of the conservation area. These drives provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to view the rare black rhino, which tend to spend their time on the crater floor. Ngorongoro is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. For lunch, enjoy a picnic next to the hippo pools on the crater floor. Continue with the game drive throughout the various ecosystems of the crater, including woodland filled with zebra and baboon, plains that support scavenging hyena and a lake that is tinted pink with greater and lesser flamingos. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the afternoon ascend and drive to your lodge for overnight rest.
