Experience the true adventure of guided walking safaris and game drives, and in Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), you have game viewing on the river.

Day by Day

Day 1:
Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha.

Welcome to Tanzania, Meet your guide for the drive to Kibo palace hotel. Tucked away in Arusha, Kibo Palace Hotel is straddled between the gateway to some of the most enchanting safari destinations and Mount Kilimanjaro, whose highest point it is named after. This little paradise comes with all the amenities and access you would expect in a modern city right in the wild. After settling into your room, take a walk around the town of Arusha and experience life in real Africa style or relax on the poolside and enjoy a cold Kilimanjaro beer.

Day 2:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You leave Kibo hotel, after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The Rift Valley landscape drifts past as your guide heads for Tarangire National Park, the least visited reserve on the itinerary but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing. Home to Tanzania’s biggest elephant population, Tarangire supports large numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and many antelope species, most evident during the dry season when concentrations of animals at the life-giving Tarangire River are at their peak June-October. Your accommodation Tarangire Safari Lodge lies in the middle of giant baobab trees. Explore the park’s rich habitats from the life-giving River, a landscape dotted with baobab trees, swamps, and open plains at your own pace. After an extensive day of a game, and viewing proceed to your accommodation for dinner, and overnight.

Day 3:
Full-Day Tarangire National Park

This day will be spent entirely on game viewing through the park exploring the park’s vast habitats and landscape up to the Silalei swamp which during the dry season offers green pasture and water for the grazers and the predators follow them here. During the months of June to November when we have the seasonal migration of wildebeest and zebras the park bust into life with possibly the biggest concentration of wildlife outside Serengeti national park and the largest population of elephants per square kilometers in the world. Other sightings will include lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, and buffaloes, and if you are lucky the rare wild dogs are found here. In the late afternoon stop four of your bush sundowner drinks which will be made by your guide.

Day 4:
Tarangire National Park to Gibbs Farm

On your way to the gate, you will have some more time to see animals that you may not have seen yet. You continue to the multi-cultural town of Mto WA Mbu where you leave the African Rift Valley behind and make your way to the vegetation-rich crater highlands. Soon, the higher lands are reached and a wonderful view of the Maasai Plains and the Lake Manyara opens up before you. Photo stops will be taken and you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views. You then continue to Karatu and stop at the Gibbs farm for lunch followed by a farm walk and visit the coffee processing area and later head to the Plantation Lodge.

Day 5:
Full-Day Ngorongoro Crater tour

Leave the Plantation Farm lodge very early in the morning, with a picnic lunch packed nicely for you, and descend, 610 meters down to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the Crater is a Big 4 country and the openness of the terrain means easy and rewarding game viewing. You will spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping for a picnic on the grasslands amidst the sight of hippos. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals including black rhino, wildebeest, and zebra along with hyena. The Crater’s forests shelter elephants and buffalo, its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos while lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals make up the full range of predators. After an extensive day of game viewing leave the crater, and head to your accommodation.

Day 6:
Fly from Manyara Airstrip to Serengeti National Park

Today you will have more time to sleep and rest, then have breakfast and early lunch around 11:30 am at Plantation Lodge. After you will check out and drive to Manyara Airstrip for your departure flight to Seronera. Arrive and meet your guide waiting for you ready for your afternoon game drive onwards to the camp. Serengeti wilderness tented Camp in Central Serengeti.

Main Destination: Serengeti National Park.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Accommodation: Serengeti Mawe Tented | Serengeti Matawi tented camp.

Day 7:
Full-Day Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast go on a game drive in the central part of Serengeti for more sightings of lions, leopards, and cheetah, and at around noon drive to the retina hippo pool for lunch and witness hundreds of hippos in this pool while enjoying your mouthwatering lunch. After proceeding to the north through Lobo where we have incredible sightings of giraffes, elephants, buffalos’ impalas, and the imaginable landscape while the migration tail starts showing up arrive at Serengeti wilderness tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:
Full-Day Serengeti Mara-River

Rise up early for a morning game drive along the Mara River. It is truly an amazing experience to see all those hoofed mammals in search of water and greener pastures, followed by iconic predators. A journey is full of danger where only the strongest survive. You may also see hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and if you are lucky the endangered black rhino. After the afternoon game drive, you head back to Kenzan Tented Camp for dinner and overnight

Day 9:
Full-Day Serengeti Mara-River

Another day of morning and afternoon game drives in the North Serengeti along the Mara River. Dust exploding, lions stalking a moveable feast, gigantic crocodiles, and fast-flowing wild rivers await the herds as they head north. The river crossing of thousands of wildebeest and zebra is absolutely one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa. Return to Kenzan tented Camp in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 10:
Fly from Serengeti to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

On our last day, we will have a morning game drive in Serengeti followed by lunch at the camp after your guides will drive you to the airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro
