The itinerary will take you to four prime places in the north of Tanzania where excellent game viewing awaits in every location. Making your way to Lake Manyara national park to look for the area’s tree-climbing lion. In the Serengeti, the ultimate predators of the Grumeti River await the exodus of wildebeest trying to quench their thirst. Explore the Ngorongoro conservation with an inspiring landscape and a chance to see the big five and finish with a thrilling encounter with the Tarangire mob of elephants.

Day by Day
Day 1:
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara national park which is a hidden treasure of beauty. It has contrasting habitats which are worth experiencing. You can see underground water forests, rift valley escarpment, acacia woodland, and the lake. Apart from this, you get sightings of baboons, giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and amazing colorful birds. This is where the famous tree-climbing lions can be seen, and on the lake look for the lesser flamingoes which in the good season can be seen in million forming a carpet of pink. After your game viewing head to your lodge the Plantation Farm lodge

Day 2:
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
After a delicious breakfast, we will go to Ngorongoro Crater for amazing game viewing. You will find the largest permanent group of big mammals on earth. Its versatile habitat will surprise you with its forests, grassy plains, seasonal water pools, swamps, and riverine. You will find wildlife in abundance here. It is home to many wild animals like lions, rhinos, hyenas, jackals, elephants, buffalo, and water birds. After exploring the crater, on this day keep a close look for the big tusker elephants of the Ngorongoro crater. After returning to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3:
Karatu to Serengeti National Park (Central)
Depart this morning for a game drive in the central part of the Serengeti. This part is famous for the abundance of lions and leopards that can usually be seen quite easily. Game viewing in the central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, jackals, hyenas, hyrax, and many more. If you would like to visit the Oldupai Gorge where Australopithecus boisei was found by the Leaky family this will be the day for exploring the gorge and the shifting sand. Dinner and overnight at your tented camp.

Day 4 - 5:
Serengeti National Park (Central) to Serengeti National Park (North)
You will spend your next two days unwinding the secrets of the corners of Serengeti with your specialist guide, and it will be full of surprises in the north. You will see the wildebeest going through the Mara River and the stealthy predators of the silent waters waiting to pounce for any chance of having a meal. You may also get the rare sighting of crocodiles attacking them during migration. Its habitat consists of rolling hills, kopjes, plains, and riverine. It offers great game viewing of big cats and other wild animals like rhinos, hippos, rock hyrax, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and thousands of vultures cleaning the dead bodies of wildebeest who have died from injuries and some who have died from washing down by water currents. You will relish your stay and dinner at Wilderness Camp.

Day 6:
Serengeti National Park to Stone Town Zanzibar.
We will start the morning with a game drive around the river to witness more River crossing and other residence animals before heading to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. We will pick you up once you reach Zanzibar and we will transfer you to your hotel in Stone Town.

Day 7:
Stone Town Zanzibar
Today we have two main activities in Stone Town. Your guide will come to pick you up at a specified time for the Stone Town tour. The tour includes exploring the markets, seafood, and fish piled in the fish market, fresh loaves of bread in wicker baskets, and neat stacks of fruit and vegetables as traders sell their wares from their stalls. You will also visit Prison Island which is a half-day tour, Prison Island is also known as Changuu Island, the name “prison island” came after this unique island being used by some sultans of Zanzibar to detain the recalcitrant slaves, about 25 to 30 minutes boat ride (motorized).
While you are on this Island, you will be able to swim, snorkel and take pictures with giant tortoises, sure, have a delightful swim, the wonderful snorkeling which will allow you to see the colorful school tropical fish e.g. black snapper, and orange lined triggerfish, spotted garfish, barracuda, longfin bannerfish, emperor angelfish, rabbitfish, clown triggerfish, blue stripe snapper, etc.
This day tour will be the best for snorkeling lovers as well as beach relaxers. However, there is a lot to discover including historical sites and giant tortoises.

Day 8:
Spice Tour to Nungwi (North Coast)
Today after breakfast check out, we will drive away from Stone Town for Spice Plantation Tour. A detailed description is given about a variety of spices and their uses in cooking and cosmetics. The sheer number of spices produced and their incredible value for many ailments will fascinate visitors. Later into the afternoon proceed to Nungwi for Dinner and overnight at Royal Zanzibar Hotel

Day 9 - 10:
Relaxing on Your Beach Hotel
While your stay is in one of our most carefully prepared lists of Hotels in Northern Zanzibar – just relax, and refresh for the next 2 nights, the possibilities of activities are endless at Zanzibar, but a lazy day at the beach beats everything else – hands down! The pristine white sand beaches lined with palm trees and surrounded by coral reefs provide a perfect paradise for the conclusion of a safari. Your much-needed rest awaits you here.

Day 11:
Departure
Before leaving the Paradise Island of Zanzibar, enjoy an early morning at the beach or just relax by the pool. Enjoy a lush breakfast at the hotel, before your guide drives you back to Zanzibar International Airport to return home. It is an emotional moment for both you and us, as we bid you goodbye (Swahili word: Kwaheri) – but only with the hope to see you return.
